Fresh Picks & Sustainability Tips: February 2025
Class 53 California Ag Leadership Foundation
On Saturday, February 8, I attended the California Ag Leadership Board of Directors meetings and the commencement of Class 53 California Ag Leadership Foundation—an organization dedicated to developing strong leaders in agriculture for over 55 years.
What resonates most with me is how aligned this program is with our values at Measure to Improve – to advance and support the agricultural industry. I was especially moved by how the Board’s decision-making is always rooted in their mission, vision, and purpose. These values were demonstrated in the fellows’ inspiring impact presentations as well.
I left the experience reminded of why leadership development in agriculture matters. Strong leaders drive innovation, champion sustainability, and ensure the resilience of our food systems.
To read more about my reflection on the event, read our latest article. I’d love to share this blog with a broader audience to highlight the foundation’s impact, so please feel free to share as well.
